Emi
This is a 3D model recreating the character Emi Hoshino, from the 1989 film and video game Sweet Home. Sweet Home was originally intended to be remade as a game for the original Playstation, but due to hardware constraints the project instead became the first game in the Resident Evil series.

The premise of this project was to recreate Emi how she may have looked had the Sweet Home remake come to fruition. Because of this, there was a strong focus on making sure that the model looks like something that could have been displayed by the hardware of the time. The model itself has a low poly count, and the shaders mimic the low resolution textures of the time.

Additionally, the character's 2D facial expressions are handled by custom node based shaders in blender. The eye area and the mouth area each have a series of textures that can be freely swapped between. Since the eyes and mouth can emote independently from one another, this allows the model to be able to make 128 unique expressions.
